Beautiful national Monumental building build in the second half of the 16 century, originally it had the same Neck Gable as number 5 and 9, however in later years the gable has been changed to a more modern punt top gable. Located in zipcode 1011, the most historical part and area of Amsterdam, its very central located and just at the corner of the Nieuwmarkt. And almost next to the building you find “the Waag” The Waag ("weigh house) is a 15th-century building on Nieuwmarkt square. It was originally a city gate and part of the walls of Amsterdam and served as a guildhall and fire station, among other things.
The Waag is the oldest remaining non-religious building in Amsterdam.
